Bodega A16 is a project that blends tradition, innovation, and passion in the production of boutique wines in the prestigious wine region of Luján de Cuyo. Strategically located between Perdriel and Agrelo—two areas renowned worldwide for the quality of their wines—the winery stands out for its commitment to sustainability and respect for the natural environment.
At A16, production is based on sustainable agronomic practices, with a special focus on organic farming and the conservation of natural and human resources. The Papa Francisco estate, where this process takes place, respects and protects native flora and fauna, incorporating more than 30 species of trees and shrubs from various parts of the world. These natural elements adorn the southern boundary of the property, offering a unique landscape visible from Route 7 that enhances the beauty of the surroundings.
La bodega también se destaca por el uso de tecnologías avanzadas en el desarrollo de cultivos. La orientación de los espalderos, diseñada bajo la asesoría de profesionales europeos, está optimizada para maximizar la exposición solar y mejorar el rendimiento del viñedo, garantizando así la producción de vinos de alta calidad.
The name “A16” has a special meaning. The “A” stands for love, harmony, and height, while the number “16” refers to Cartellone’s 16 previous projects before founding the winery. Furthermore, the number has a symbolic connection to the biblical account of creation, in which God worked for six days and finally dedicated the seventh to appreciating His work. Thus, Bodega A16 stands as a tribute to dedication, effort, and the celebration of life—values that are reflected in each of its wines.
