Our history
The story of A16 is the story of its founder, Gerardo Cartellone, an entrepreneur with Italian roots who has dedicated his life to winemaking. With more than 15 years of experience in the industry, Gerardo decided to create A16 with the goal of changing the paradigm of wine production, focusing on quality and excellence, following in the footsteps of his ancestors. His passion for nature, art, and wine is reflected in every detail of the winery and in every bottle that reaches consumers around the world.

We are a family-owned boutique winery that brings together and shares our greatest passions: a love of art and winemaking. We believe that each of our bottles tells a unique story—a story that comes full circle when you experience uncorking our wines and exploring every corner of A16. Our commitment is to offer more than just wine; we want every glass to become a special moment that always invites you to return and connect with what we do with so much love.

Sustainability
We use advanced drip irrigation techniques that allow for efficient and careful irrigation, minimizing waste and ensuring that every drop is used to its fullest potential. Our philosophy focuses on organic farming; by avoiding the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers, we protect the environment and improve the quality of our grapes and wines.

Every detail of the production process is meticulously attended to in order to ensure wines of the highest quality. From selecting the finest grapes to recognizing the valuable work of our team, at A16 we believe that quality stems from respect and dedication.
Certifications and Participations
As wine producers, we are committed to highlighting the cultural value of our wine and its important role in our national identity.
At A16, we are certified vegan. Every year, the Vegan Argentina association grants us its certification after conducting a thorough analysis of each of our wines. Our wines are produced with animal-free ingredients, such as eggs and fish, among other things.
We are certified and endorsed by the INV (National Institute of Viticulture) for each of our winemaking processes, ensuring that our wines are safe for consumption.
We are proud to be part of Wines of Argentina. As a member winery of WofA, we are part of one of the country’s most important wine-growing regions: Mendoza. We work together to promote and strengthen the national wine industry abroad through Argentine wine.
